Indonesia is an archipelagic state consisting of more than 17,000 islands. According to Indonesia National Statistic report in 2020, Indonesia forest cover is around 120,495,702 Ha.
Indonesia's forested areas consist of mangrove forests, swamp forests, savanna forests, monsoon forests, tropical rain forests, and peatlands. Unfortunately, forest areas are not well managed yet and are highly vulnerable due to illegal logging activities which could trigger natural disasters and will ultimately harm the environment.
Indonesia with its vast and many types of forested areas can become a climate superpower country, being one of the most considerable countries to manage carbon sequestration. Therefore, Muller aims to put forward Indonesia’s great potentials by actively participating in conserving Indonesia’s forested areas by developing high quality carbon credits
